ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT FOR THE WELLNESS PORTAL

Last Updated: 15 December 2025

This is an accessibility statement from MediKeeper Inc.

Measures to support accessibility

MediKeeper Inc. takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the Wellness Portal:

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies
  • Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices
  • Provide continual accessibility training for our staff
  • Including accessibility checkpoints in our design and development process
  • Conducting both automated and manual testing on a recurring basis.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. MediKeeper Wellness Portal is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of the Wellness Portal relies on the following technologies to work with the combination of specific web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the Wellness Portal, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for the Wellness Portal:

  1. Content embedded by administrators: Content generated by your administrators may not meet necessary contrast or other accessibility standards, as we cannot guarantee its quality. Ensuring the accessibility of this content is the responsibility of your administrators. If you encounter an accessibility issue, please contact your organization’s benefits administrator.
  2. High contrast mode: High Contrast Mode is a vital accessibility feature, standard across the industry for over 30 years and used by major platforms like Microsoft, Google, Apple, and Salesforce. It adjusts the colors of systems, applications, and websites to improve visibility and text readability for persons with visual impairment. While the default Member Portal is designed to meet WCAG contrast requirements with high contrast mode enabled, your organization may use custom branding (such as colors, images, or themes) that may reduce contrast. Because MediKeeper’s wellness portal offers extensive client customization (colors, fonts, icons, images), we developed a customized High Contrast feature. This solution ensures that when a user enables High Contrast Mode, any low-contrast color schemes in the portal are automatically replaced with high-contrast alternatives. High Contrast Mode is provided as an optional accessibility enhancement.
  3. 3rd party content: We may incorporate content and services from third-party vendors to provide certain features on the Wellness Portal. The accessibility of this third-party content is not covered under this accessibility statement.
    1. What this includes: Any external elements that we do not own or maintain, such as third-party video applications, externally hosted content, or content embedded from other sources.
    2. Our Responsibility: We strive to choose vendors who demonstrate a commitment to accessibility and work with them to ensure their integrations are as accessible as possible. However, we cannot guarantee the full conformance of their code or content. MediKeeper is responsible for ensuring that its own platform does not block or hinder assistive technologies, even when third-party content is present
    3. Feedback: If you encounter an accessibility barrier with any third-party content, please contact your organization’s benefits administrator. While we cannot directly fix their platforms, we will escalate your concerns to the appropriate vendor.
  4. Scope Limitation: Member Portal Only: This accessibility statement applies only to the Member Portal, which is the portion of the platform made available to end users. Internal-facing administrative tools, back-end systems, and staff-only management interfaces are used exclusively by MediKeeper or admin personnel and are not provided to the public. Because these tools are not member-facing products, they are outside the scope of this accessibility statement. MediKeeper provides reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities for internal systems as required by applicable law.

Assessment approach

MediKeeper Inc. assessed the accessibility of the Wellness Portal by the following approaches:

  • Self-evaluation
  • External evaluation
